Yagur Farms was established in 1922 as part of the pioneering activity of Kibbutz Yagur’s early settlement in the northern regions of what will be later known as the young state of Israel.
Through the years the young and motivated farmers specialized in a wide range of crops, varying from plantations, to vegetable, cotton, mini-trees and flowers. Each decade meant reshaping the landscape of the local farm diverging its markets, products and clients both locally as well as globally in the endless race of remaining relevant and successful.
What kept Yagur Farm as a leading player in an ever-changing market was its innovative approach toward the combination of technology and agronomic knowhow which eventually lead the company to be Israel’s hydroponic market leader.
The first brick of our hydroponic activity was laid at 2008 as a part of worldwide spreading of a young technology which promised to change the way we grow food forever. During the first years Yagur farm’s specialists adopted the high-tech technology focusing on improving its ability to change the farming industry weak spots such as water-efficacy, environmental control as well as packed products shelf-life.
The hydroponic concept had reshaped many of the historical paradigms and methods opening the door for a new agriculture future and possibilities. Been first was a challenge but also an unreturning opportunity.
Today Yagur farm is a well-known leading supplier of some of the biggest retailers in Israel as well as a leading partner for technical hydroponic knowhow which carry the promise of around the year supply of consistent quality and volume.
Our global activity is a new branch of our enterprise. We see our global activity mission as an opportunity not only to spread our top-of-the-line technical and agronomical knowhow both also as a vast opportunity for exploring new venturers of crops, environments and markets. As we grow our main task remains: pushing the boundaries of agriculture to the limit, keeping the delicate balance between innovation, cost-effective and environmental awareness factors which made us who we are.
